All four of us had the day off from school today. Lucy had a playdate with a friend from school in the morning and it was fantastic. The weather was great, the food was good, and everyone got along - adults and children.
Side note: I never realized how difficult it is to have a successful playdate. Sometimes you get together and the kids love each other but you think the other parents are duds. Or you might love the other parents but the kids basically play separately and/or fight. The great news is that this playdate certainly did fall into either of these categories.
