Keeping my head above water ...

I have been absent this time because ... well, it's either write a blog post or prep a lesson, and I am more likely to keep my job if my classes are prepped.

The year is off to a great start. Lucy loves her PreK program and Caroline is happy returning to her school. We feel incredibly lucky that our girls really do like school and it is the rare occurrence that they complain in the morning.

On that same note, both of the girls' teachers have sent pictures of the girls during their first week of school. It is easily the best part of my day to open up my email and see this:

Specifically, she loves Brown Bear and really all Eric Carlebooks.

I know school won't always be easy or fun or full of joy, but right now it makes me so happy to see these smiles.
