Last week we started school, but I had to go on a class trip first for an opportunity to bond with my advisees. While it was pretty cool (I got to rock climb, zipline, and do a high ropes course for the first time), it was also impossible for Steve to get the girls to school and pick them up while still meeting the obligations for his job.
So, Nana came to save the day! A special thank you to Nana - not only for coming to stay with us and schlepping the girls all over the place, but also for loving our girls so much. It is no wonder that they are so excited to see you and love to spend time with you whenever they can.
Next time you have to promise to bring Yoinkie too. Caroline has demanded it!
No, seriously. Here was my conversation with her:
Me: Caroline, guess who is coming tomorrow?
Caroline: Daddy.
Me: No. Well, yes he will be there too, but Nana is coming!
Caroline: Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Nana and Yoinkie!
Me: Nana is going to come, but Yoinkie has to stay home.
Caroline: No! Nana YOINKIE! (with real emphasis on the Yoinkie)
Me: Yoinkie has to stay home, but Nana is going to come and play. Isn't that fun?
Caroline: Yaaaaaaaaaaay! Nana YOINKIE!
She must get her stubborn nature from her father.
