I consider myself to be fairly technologically savvy, but this blog is certainly putting that belief to the test.
I have been considering a blog for a very long time, and what stopped me from starting one was this question: what the hell do I have to say that anyone would want anyone to read?
There have been two factors that have encouraged me to start this blog:
1. I have several friends who have blogs, and I really enjoy being able to keep up with them by reading the posts. Both of us have family that lives thousands of miles away, and a blog would be an easy way for everyone to see pictures and get updates without the necessity of facebook, twitter, etc.
2. When our girls get older, I want them to have a record of their childhood. Since we clearly are not getting that done on paper, I am hoping that an electronic version will be easier to update and will therefore motivate us to regularly make posts.
As for the title ... well, anyone that knows us understands that while we always have good intentions, we don't always deliver. For example, our "Christmas" cards are still sitting on our counter ready to mailed. Our birthday gifts rarely make it there on time. I'm really trying here, people, but sometimes it just doesn't happen. So, maybe someday we will get it together. Of course, maybe we won't.
YAY! I'm so excited to get to see snitbits of your adventures. I have had many of the, "Who the heck would want to read about our very ordinary little life?" And then I find out that people do! And then I think it is so unfair because I want to be able to read about THEIR little ordinary lives, too!
ReplyDeleteLove this. Since I have not been fortunate enough to meet the little Soden girls, I can see them in pictures. Keeping up with the everyday antics of raising two girls is something I am very familiar with. Having two daughters and three grand daughters helps me to understand and appreciate what you are going through. Keep it coming! Love to you all, Terry
